The Project, In Full

SWSD Music Production is an independent alternative music collaboration and full family project, built around cousins Shaun Williams and S.D. Combining emotionally driven songwriting with cinematic production, atmospheric textures, and live instrumentation, SWSD creates music that blends alternative rock, blues, ambient soundscapes, and reflective storytelling.

At the heart of the project is a strong family connection. We are very lucky to have extraordinarily talented musicians within the family working hard behind the scenes, notably S.D. and Richie Atkinson, as well as the wider family who continue to support the project through their input, constructive advice, encouragement, and belief in what we are building together.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, emotional resilience, family connection, and introspection, SWSD's music explores themes of struggle, hope, growth, and human connection through immersive sound and honest lyrical expression.

S.D brings multi-instrumental talent across guitar, piano, bass, drums, synths, and production, while Shaun focuses on songwriting, lyrical concepts, creative direction, and collaborative production. Together, they create music designed to feel both deeply personal and universally relatable.

SWSD Music Production — a creative collaboration between me and my cousin S.D. Over the past few years, I've been writing songs on and off, and recently decided to select four of them to release together as an EP.

S.D is an incredibly talented musician and producer, and he's had a huge influence on the project — giving me the confidence to put something out there with lyrics I'd written. His influence runs through the production, instrumentation, creativity, and overall sound behind it all.

The vocals use AI technology, but the songwriting, lyrics, concepts, arrangements, production direction, and creative vision behind the music are very human. And let's be honest — even the pros use AI software and autotune these days.

It's been a really personal and creative project, and I genuinely appreciate everyone taking the time to listen and support.

The Direction Ahead

Going forward, the aim is to keep developing SWSD in a more organic direction. As the project grows, the next step will be to find the right singer, or singers, who can help bring these songs to life with real vocal performances.

The goal is to use less AI over time and create more of the music directly in the studio — the place where this project really began. That space, the collaboration, the instruments, the ideas, and the shared creative energy are at the heart of SWSD.

AI has helped us shape and explore the early sound, but the long-term vision is to build something more human, more live, and more connected — combining my lyrics and concepts with S.D's musicianship, production, and studio creativity.
