The Story
About this track.
Double Vision is a story told from a doctor's room — a song built like an unexpected announcement that you have to listen to twice before it lands.
It moves in waves: disbelief, then a deep breath, then the doctor confirming what the screen is already showing. Confusion gives way to nervous laughter, then to a kind of joy that is hard to describe — the type that takes hold all at once and leaves you pondering the past, the present, and the after.
The piece slips into French at its turning point — "Tu vois en double ? Parce que moi aussi" — a quiet shared sentence between two people seeing the same thing at the same time. Then the announcement: you're expecting twins. A moment of pure enlightenment.
